BIS Music classes provide students with opportunities to express themselves through the performing arts, including singing, dancing, acting, and instrument playing. Through enriching and engaging musical experiences, students develop confidence, creativity, self-expression, and the ability to work together as a team.
While performance is a cherished part of music education at BIS, developing musical literacy is equally important. Students learn how written musical symbols connect to rhythm, melody, harmony, and other musical elements through the study of timeless works by renowned composers from various historical periods. By exploring the music, lives, and historical backgrounds of these composers, students gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of music as both an art form and a reflection of human history and culture.
